Validated ID is involved in a project of teleadministration that Cisco is developing for the Barcelona City Hall. This project will allow citizens perform administrative procedures remotely in specially equipped cabins, without having to go to the offices.
ViDSigner in teleadministration, allows not only teleassistance by a city employee, but also performing procedures in which citizen signature is required as evidence of the providing consent.
In a first phase, the cabin will provide many services of the Barcelona city hall that are available at the offices, by phone or by Internet. Soon will be extended to the processing of queries on the register, licensing of works or complaints about city services.
The service was tested “in-situ” by students who, on April 18, made their requests on the needs of the digital Barcelona.
This pilot project allows us to demonstrate the many possibilities that our biometric signature solution, ViDSigner, offers to the Public Administrations in relation to citizens where simplicity and legal certainty are key values.
