After joining the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA) we’re preparing to be part of a forum that will highlight the great work done together with companies, universities, and organizations.
On April 3 began the journey of this association, promoted by the European Commission, which brings together 105 public and private organizations, to develop a transparent, predictable and trustworthy global framework that allows the adoption of ‘blockchain’ and technology of distributed registers (DLT – Distributed Ledger Technology) in a massive way.
Within this association, which covers Europe, America and Asia, Spain is one of the countries with the highest representation, through the Spanish consortium Alastria (of which 420 companies, universities, and entities are part), and its associates BBVA, Repsol, Telefónica , Everis/NTT, Accenture, Fujitsu, SAP and Kunfud.
As members of INATBA, at Validated ID we are committed to collaborate in the development of interoperability guidelines and standards, promote transparent and inclusive governance, and maintain a permanent constructive dialogue with authorities and regulators.
As part of this collaborative approach, the founding members of the institution have agreed to define and work together on the following objectives:
- Support the development and adoption of global interoperability guidelines, specifications, and standards to improve reliable and user-centric digital services, and maintain an open, transparent and inclusive multi-stakeholder cooperation method.
- Promote a global model of open, transparent and inclusive governance for infrastructure and blockchain applications and other distributed ledger technologies. A model that reflects the interests of industry, new companies and SMEs, civil society organizations and public authorities.
- Maintain a permanent and constructive dialogue with the public authorities, which will contribute to the convergence of the regulatory approaches in terms of blockchain and other ledgers technologies distributed worldwide.
In its first general assembly held on June 12, the objectives of the association were presented and we reviewed the strategy foreseen for this first year, as well as the objectives and the organization of the planned workgroups.
Our company, Validated ID, is a part of the working group of the identity commission, which seeks to “facilitate the exchange of ideas, best practices and specific knowledge among technology providers, researchers, governments and international institutions, in order to support and encourage the creation of an identity ecosystem for interoperable and reliable blockchain services “.
Our objective within this working group is to present our first publication at the end of this year, together with the rest of the commissions.
